Press Release: PTBF demand action against PSB
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan Tenpin Bowing Federaiton (PTBF) general secretary Ijaz ur Rehman friday demanded of the prime minister to launch an immediate inquiry in to the matter of not releasing funds by the Pakistan Sports Board ( PSB) to the federation for participation in the Qubica AMF World cup and urged tu bring the culprits to the task.
He said this on the sidelines of a media worksop organized at British Club where he was honored in recognition of his services in promoting Tenpin Bowling in Pakistan.
Talking to TheNation, Ijaz thanked the organizers of the media workshop and British high comission for honoring him and promised to work with more zeal and put his maximum efforts in talking bowling to the heights.
It is very positive development that even the British High comission has appreciated our work and honored us but it is also very sad that PSB is reluctant to give us the full affiliation despite we have fulfilled all their legal requirements. It is because of the PSB that Pakistan has no representation in the World Cup currently underway in South Africa despite getting invitation.
He said the PSB director General (Technical & Training) Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera promised to provide the funds for the world cup but he had backed off from is promises at the eleventh hour and we were left with no other option but to withdraw from the prestigious event.
