Message from The General Secretary

That this is the latest in a series of remarkable firsts is testimony to PTBF's visionary and entrepreneurial leadership which has transformed Bowling in Pakistan, from its humble and discredited parlour game status in 1995 with no State as its member, only 1 bowling Centre in the entire country and there was no registered bowler, to its present status as dominant world power with regard to the said game.

PTBF not only lays emphasis at a better promotion of this sport but also safeguard and recognizes the rights of Pakistan Tenpin Bowlers, initiating to introduce Bowling as a healthy and interesting sports for all ages. Like all other international Bowling Federation PTBF also strives hard to protect the rights of bowlers and to provide them all such assistance that is required in terms of information about global events, match statistics, rules and regulations of the game and giving them an access to take part and represent Pakistan at international Bowling Tournament.

Living up to its tradition, PTBF expects that this event shall be highly successful for PTBF as players from all over the Pakistan will participate in this event and show their talents.

PTBF has organized a number of National Championships, and its team members have participated in a number of international events, thereby not only representing Pakistan as a whole, but also has received a number of awards.

All this of course did not come down with yesterday's shower but by dint of intelligent planning and unwavering perseverance by successive generations of Federation members working with me over a period of now 9 long years.

I would be remiss in my duty if I did not mention those that contributed more than most. They are the Mr. Shuja Khan, President PTBF and Aleem Agha, Vice President PTBF.

In closing I would like to thank Mr. Nadeem Ijaz Cheema and Creative Solutions, the Web Site provider for facilitating the establishment of this our Web Site.

Whither now PTBF you might well ask?

Always conscious of my belief that complacency is the harbinger of mediocrity, we will soldier on with equal resolve as in the past, on our well trodden success strewn path, continually appraising and searching for newer avenues for advancement, while hoping and trusting that our “Partner in Sport”, Land & General, and the Pakistan Sports Board, as also all our co-sponsors, will continue to stay with us and give us their precious financial and moral support for which may I take this column to thank them wholeheartedly and to assure them that their trust in us is not and never will be misplaced.

Sincerely in Bowling
Ijaz ur Rehman
